Comprehensive College Preparation Package (Flat Rate)

We offer personalized expert guidance throughout every step of your path to college, from your earliest thinking about what college is for and what colleges might be a good match for you to your eventual decision about what offer of admission to accept and how to negotiate the best scholarship offer. This comprehensive package includes:

  • Early guidance in thinking about college and charting your best path to college

  • Assessment of whether you would benefit from tutoring or help prepping for the SAT/ACT.

  • Working with you to develop a list of colleges that are a great match for you

  • Helping you organize college visits and correspondence with college admissions staff

  • Guiding you through the process of brainstorming and outlining your personal statement

  • Help editing, revising and improving your personal statement and supplemental essays

  • Final proofreading of all material to be submitted to colleges

  • Preparation for college interviews, including mock interviews

  • Advice in navigating admissions offers, scholarships, and financial aid offers.

 College Consulting & Essay Help (Hourly)

 

This option includes all the services listed above as part of the Comprehensive College Preparation Package. Here it is offered on an hourly basis rather than at a flat-rate. It is recommended for students in the final months or weeks of the college application process. (Students earlier in the process can save up to 60% by choosing the flat-rate Comprehensive Package.)

 Summer College Essay Workshop (Flat Rate)

Get a great head start on writing your college essays with this stress-free summer workshop! Working in small groups and one-one-one, you'll receive expert guidance in:

  • Learning about recent changes in college admissions, which especially affect the essay

  • Thinking through the questions on the Common Application and what colleges want

  • Brainstorming and outlining different essays and deciding which to write on

  • Beginning to write and revise drafts of your personal statement and supplemental essays

  • Suggestions for how to improve your writing and creativity

  • Editing and proofreading work ready to be submitted to colleges

 College Essay Help (Hourly)

This option is for students who are already receiving excellent college guidance but want more personalized help with their college essays. We guide applicants to find their own genuine voice in expressing themselves, their goals, and their values in the material they send to colleges. We offer careful guidance at each stage of the essay writing process, including:

  • Thinking through who you are, what you want from college, and how to express it

  • Thinking through the questions colleges ask and what they value in applicants

  • Brainstorming and outlining for the personal statement and supplemental essays

  • Reviewing drafts and giving suggestions for improvement

  • Final proofreading of all materials to be submitted to colleges

  • Brainstorming, writing and editing essays for scholarships

 Tutoring for SAT & ACT  Prep (Hourly)
